UX Research Intern – What You Will Do:
- Represent the needs of customers and users through various research methodologies (from discovery to design validation).
- Participate in planning, analysis, and reporting on various research initiatives.
- Communicate your findings using artifacts like personas, journeys, and task analyses.
- Collaborate with senior UX staff to influence product strategy and roadmaps.
- Support iterative usability testing for design validation.
Essential Skills for UX Research Intern Role:
- Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, or related fields.
- Graduating in December 2025 or later.
- Ability to work full-time for 12 weeks during the summer.
- Portfolio of work is required at the time of the interview.
- Experience with customer-centered research and mixed design methods is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of planning, developing, and conducting User Research and Testing.
- Comfortable in a customer-facing role, representing the ServiceNow brand.
Preferred Qualifications for UX Research Intern Role:
- Experience applying customer-centered research methods to design and development processes.
- Strong communication skills to articulate research findings to diverse teams.
- Passion for UX and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
Salary Information:
For roles in California (outside the Bay Area), base pay is $38.62 – $43.04 per hour, plus equity, benefits, and variable compensation. For roles in the Bay Area, there is a pay enhancement (contact the recruiter for details).
