Job Summary for Network Production Engineer at Meta
This role offers a unique opportunity for recent graduates to build experience across multiple network engineering areas, including Backbone, Data Center, and Network Infrastructure. You will be part of a fast-paced environment working with cutting-edge network technology. Your contributions will be essential in ensuring that Meta’s network remains scalable, reliable, and optimized for the challenges of serving over a billion users.
Responsibilities for Network Production Engineer at Meta:
- Rotate through different engineering teams during the first year to gain exposure to Backbone, Data Center, and Network Infrastructure.
- Build and maintain multi-vendor and multi-protocol data center and backbone networks.
- Design and implement network monitoring systems for improved performance.
- Analyze data to diagnose network issues and develop automated solutions for remediation.
- Participate in deep technical discussions and contribute to ongoing network innovations.
Essential Skills for Network Production Engineer at Meta:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Experience with UNIX, TCP/IP, and network fundamentals.
- Proficient in at least one programming language (Python, Golang, Rust, or C++).
- Strong understanding of network design and management concepts.
